To be eligible for insurance reimbursment, you must be diagnosed with:
  • Chronic atrial fibrillation
  • Mechanical heart valve
  • Venous thromboembolism (VTE) including,
    - Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT)
    - Pulmonary embolism (PE)
And meet the following criteria:
  • Taking Coumadin or other oral anticoagulation for at least 3-months and on a daily basis.
  • Be able to demonstrate the correct use of the device after training.
Yes. The PT/INR Monitor and the home testing must be prescribed by a treating physician. Only you and your healthcare provider can decide if mdINR PT/INR Home Monitoring Service is for you.
When you take Coumadin, it's important that your PT/INR be tested regularly. Under normal circumstances, you may have been getting your PT/INR checked at your doctor's office, lab or clinic once every four to six weeks. Studies show that more frequent testing can help you reduce serious risks to your health. With home testing, you can test more frequently.
If your device is not working properly and our telephone technical support staff is unable to resolve the issue with you, we ship a new device to replace your defective device. We deliver this service at no cost to you.

An mdINR trainer will go directly to your home or a staff member of your doctor’s office will train you in their office on how to use the PT/INR Meter and how to call in your results.
